  • The brief for this beautifully crafted dance film was a low-contrast, low-saturation look- subdued yet still dynamic, ensuring the image never felt washed out or flat

    During our in-studio grading session, the DoP mentioned he wished he’d had different lenses on the day, feeling his choices were “too sharp and clinical” for the film’s intended feel

    I focused on textural adjustments within the grade, subtly altering the characteristics of the lenses to bring a softer, more organic quality to the image- an approach that played a huge role in shaping the final aesthetic

    Beyond that, I worked to ensure key colours retained just enough vibrancy to maintain visual interest while ensuring the dancers looked immaculate

    Lastly, a couple of shots required sky replacements due to shifting weather conditions on set. I carefully replaced and matched the new skies with our hero shots before completing a final beauty pass on all the dancers
