Scottish artist Ellis O’Connor channels her emotions into art, using painting as a form of self-regulation and reflection. Her abstract, expressive landscapes are deeply inspired by nature- capturing both the seen and the felt. A recent autism diagnosis has provided clarity, helping her understand her lifelong sensitivities and her intrinsic need for quiet, untamed spaces
Ellis shares her connection to the wild beauty of Skye, where outdoor exploration fuels her creativity and offers a sanctuary from sensory overwhelm. She reflects on the years before her diagnosis, the challenges of navigating an overstimulating world, and the profound freedom she’s found in expressing emotions through art. In her work, she discovers validation, peace, and the ability to fully embrace her authentic self

The Colour Grade
Remco’s stunning cinematography was a joy to work with, and we were incredibly fortunate to capture such breathtaking natural light- a rare gift on Skye. Inspired by film, the colour grade was designed to be rich and cinematic, immersing the audience in Ellis’s world and reinforcing her deep connection with the environment
From the outset, we developed a custom Show LUT for use on set, ensuring both creative and technical decisions aligned with the final vision. This allowed us to establish a strong visual language early in production, making the studio sessions a process of refinement rather than reinvention
